Welcome to Kingsley United Methodist Church
Kingsley has been serving the Lord on the corner of 9th and Cranberry since 1907 and continues to look for ways to bring the good news to the City of Erie and the world. We provide a variety of worship services to help people connect with God in a way that is inspirational and meaningful to them. On Saturday evenings at 6 we offer Worship that rocks in the Haven. On Sunday morning we offer a traditional service in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m.
Our sanctuary was built in 1927 and features beautiful stained glass windows that tell the story of Jesus Christ and help you reflect on the meaning of His life. We also installed a new Phoenix organ in 2005 that provides beautiful music in a variety of styles. Seating for up to 300 provides a wonderful place to experience the presence of God in a place that people have been meeting God for more than 80 years.
The Haven was created in the lower level of the church in 2005 to provide a comfortable informal setting that would allow people to experience the presence of God. We use this area for our Saturday night Worship that Rocks service where jeans and t-shirts or whatever you’re comfortable in is the expected dress and where you can connect with that are on their own faith journey.
We also have a number of other events in this area that help us get to know our neighbors. We offer an Open Mic Night at 7:30 on the second Saturday of each month immediately following the 6:00PM Haven service. Our house band, Reigning Grace provides the music most nights but we also host a number of guest bands throughout the year. Our worship leader, Glenn Rankin, provides free guitar lessons each Monday night at 6:00PM.
We welcome you to visit us and experience the presence of God in any of our worship services or other ministries. We hope that as you explore through our site you will find many things that help you in your faith journey and as you learn about the many ministries of Kingsley you will want to join us and become a part of our Kingsley family.
